The Sea of Cortez is one of the most abundant fishing areas in the world.

Just few of the more popular Baja sportfish are Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Yellow Tail, Wahoo, Dorado, Cabrilla, Groupers, Jack Cravelle, Cabrilla,  Yellow Fin, Rosterfish, and Sierra.

Our resort is located just outside La Paz in Baja California Sur, Mexico. We are a really short drive from La Paz, and just a little further from San Jose del Cabo, and Cabo San Lucas.

The best months in Baja for the majority of the most popular sport fish are April thru November (see chart below).

But great fishing can be had any time of year.  Give us a call or shoot us an email - we will give you the latest info.

Most fishing is done aboard Mexican owned Panga's and Super Panga's.  Baja Joe's will assist in making arrangements with an experienced fishing guide.

Whether you are into Fly Fishing, Trolling, Bait, or Spearfishing - the local guides have the experience to make your trip an adventure that you will talk about for years to come.

Baja Joe's is at the center of the fishing action.  An hour after you are on the water, you will see other fishing charters arriving from Cabo San Lucas , San Jose Del Cabo, and La Paz.  They will have motored for hours to get to the hot spot that is right out your front door.

The local guides are most familiar with the local fishing spots and have up to date reports on what has been productive.

Although the Panga's are usually the preferred method of fishing, plenty of action can also be had from the shore, from a kayak, or in a zodiac.

Rosterfish, Sierra, Pargo and many other fish are only a cast away.

The abundance and variety of fish along with the endless variety of fishing methods makes Baja's La Ventana any fisherman's dream.

And of course, at the end of every successful day, comes the best part.  We can suggest several ways to prepare your catch and provide the most scenic patio in Baja on which to dine.
